Specializing in the field of Human Factors (UX Design) and Information Systems.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program [2006-2008]

Attained a score of 42 out of a maximum of 45 points (Top 1.22% of a total of 31, 285 candidates). Took the subjects of Economics, Physics and Mandarin at the Higher Level.

High School Diploma Program - International School of Beijing [2004-2008]

Obtained a Grade Point Average (G.P.A) of 3.89 out of 4 at graduation.

Work Experience

User Centered Design Specialist - IBM Canada [2011-2012]

Performing heuristic and usability evaluations for IBM's DB2 line of products.

Experience with usability design for command line, web interfaces, and Graphical User Interfaces.

Sales Representative - Microsoft Singapore [2009]

Developed a marketing strategy to attract more than a hundred customers to the Microsoft Booth at the PC Fair in Singapore.

Provided Microsoft with an analysis of the event, and what strategies associates should adapt when put in a similar situation.

Leadership Experience

Executive Director -You're Next Career Exposition 2012 [2011-2012]

Led a team of eight student-executives to run the University of Toronto's largest IT & Engineering Career Fair.

Increased the number of companies to the career fair by 55% (from 32 to 50 - full capacity).

Increased attendance to the fair by 41% (1246 students to 1754) in 2012 through a successful marketing campaign.

Utilized the 7x-increasd profits (From $1,900 to $14,400) to establish three new projects for 2013 - mentorship, a new startup career fair, and monthly industry panels.

Vice-President Academic - University of Toronto Engineering Society [2010-2011]

Expanded the size of the Academic Committee to take more initiatives to improve Academic Services that the Engineering Society provides.

Pioneered a new tutoring service focusing in hiring quality and experienced graduate school tutors to aid first year students who are struggling to cope with the transition to university.

Grew the tutoring service 8x (from 14 tutors to 112 tutors) in 4 months that eliminated the gap between the demand of tutors and the number of tutors available.

Worked on building Toronto's largest IT Career Fair - You're Next 2011 with the focus of maintaining lasting relationships with companies by providing them with long-term packages for the event.

Director of Events - National Business and Technology Conference (NBTC) 2011 [2010-2011]

Leading and managing an events team to bring in top industry leaders to be present at our annual conference to inspire young people to believe in themselves as innovators.

Bringing in speakers who are leaders in their field such as Harry Rosen (Harry Rosen Inc), Isadore Sharp (Founder of the Four Seasons Hotel), Bruce Ross (President of IBM Canada), and Ted Maulucci (CIO of Tridel Group) to the conference in March.

Chair - Academic Committee of the University of Toronto Engineering Society [2010-2011]

Increased the membership of the committee (from 4 to 20) to take on new academic initiatives.

Started initiatives including: the improving tutoring services and developing new frontiers for improving student-faculty relations.

Ontario Representative - Canadian Federation of Engineering Students' Education Committee [2010-2011]

Taking part in the process to develop outreach initiatives to introduce elements of engineering to high school students throughout Canada.

President and Founder - University of Toronto Engineering Photography Club [2008-2010]

Established the main resource for photography at the University of Toronto's Engineering Society.

Established and maintained a strong partnership with Toronto's oldest Non-Governmental Organization, Family Service Toronto, for Family Day projects in 2009 and 2010.

Led the club to win the award: Youth Volunteer Club of the Year in 2009.

President - University of Toronto Engineering Competitions [2009-2010]

Doubled the size of the Junior Design competition through a successful promotions campaign.

Led and managed all aspects of the organization of this event (sponsorship, finance, competition topics, logistics, and external relations).

Director of Human Resources and Operations - Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) [2009-2010]

Recruited, trained, and assigned 60 student staff members for the competition.

Co-Chair and Co-Founder - University of Toronto High School Design Competition [2009-2010]

Created a new frontier where high-school students can learn, practice and compete design skills in.
